Under the 2001 "No Child Left Behind" Act, all public high schools are required to release the personal information of their students to military recruiters. The only way to avoid the release of this information is to fill out and submit an "opt-out" form. You must submit a new form EACH SCHOOL YEAR. In most school districts the deadline is in late September or early October.
